Additional information about the Galt Ocean Mile INSIDER

Here is a video of the studio in which I wrote, designed and produced every aspect of every issue of the Galt Ocean Mile INSIDER – I converted the bedroom of my condo into production central (there was a very large main room, and I set up a bed in the corner):

Learning the sales and marketing process, through trial, error, and a lot of shoe leather

Part 1 of the sales & marketing process. In addition to teaching myself to do cold-call phone and in-person solicitations, I followed up with detailed informational packets to prospects. The key was to ensure that not a (physical) step was wasted, and that all packets were organized by street, etc.

My rivals: Low-quality, throw-away publications that create a daily eyesore on the mailroom countertops in big condo buildings (140-400 units).

The really trashy rivals on the right, with the better ones on the left. None, however, were focused on the Galt Ocean Mile. Instead, they focused on much or most of the South Florida region.

With Kay Kopp, a very sweet woman who asked to write an essay in the magazine about the history of the Galt-area co-op complex in which she lived – and I was only too happy to accommodate her.  See her essay below.
