AARC TWITTER PROJECT – PAGE DIRECTORY

By Jon Sutz

The following resource pages contain:

  • Plain-language, evidence-based documentation about the person or organization under discussion
  • Links to their Twitter profiles, both live and archived (via Archive.is), and screencaps of key Tweets

A rational discussion about these issues can only occur if we are all looking at the same bodies of evidence, at the same time.  It is hoped that these pages will contribute to our ability to have such discussions.

(1) Twitter user policies

  • Salient portions of Twitter’s policies regarding users who incite or celebrate violence, and members of terrorist groups, and their supporters
  • CEO Jack Dorsey’s statements regarding Twitter’s application of these policies in specific cases
  • A selection of news reports on the decisions Twitter’s management has made, emphasizing its pattern of permitting violations of its policies, by users/groups other than far-right extremists

(2) Documentation: All Abramowitz Foundation interaction with Twitter

A chronological presentation of the evidence, in the form of PDFs and screencaps, that documents the following:

  • The Kenneth & Nira Abramowitz Foundation’s (KNAF’s) interaction with Twitter’s advertising sales system, and its written estimate of the exposure (“impressions”) that our Afghan Ally Rescue Campaign (AARC) promotional campaign would produce
  • Instead, our campaign received virtually no impressions — because Twitter shut it down, allegedly for violating its “Inappropriate Content Policy”
  •  Our written correspondence with Twitter, in which we repeatedly requested specific information on where our promotion violated its policy, and what would be required to become compliant — yet Twitter refused to tell us

(3) The Taliban on Twitter

  • An overview of what this terrorist group believes, how it acts, and what it wants to achieve
  • Links to the Twitter accounts operated by the top five officials of the Taliban
  • Twitter management’s statements as to why it allows the Taliban to use its platform, despite being a designated terrorist group

(4) The Babylon Bee on Twitter

  • A conservative Christian satire site that lampoons leftist ideology and practices
  • Details about why, in March 2022, Twitter claimed it locked the Babylon Bee’s account: because it “misgendered” a transgender person
  • Because the Babylon Bee refused to remove the post, its account is still locked down

(5) Louis Farrakhan on Twitter

  • One of America’s most influential, long-term inciters of anti-Semitic, racist & anti-LGBT hate & violence, whose followers have perpetrated at least three racist murder sprees (that we know of)
  • Documentation of the fact that Twitter has knowingly allowed Farrakhan to use its platform, despite the hatred & violence he incites
  • The fact that five hours after he uploaded to Twitter a video in which he said black people should disregard white people who urge peaceful instead of violent means to address grievances, one of his followers went on a racist murder spree — and the video is still posted, and has nearly 400,000 views, six years later.

(6) The NY Post on Twitter

  • America’s oldest newspaper, published continuously since 1801
  • A chronology of Twitter’s decision to shut down the Post’s account, three weeks before the 2020 election, after it published a report that substantively challenge Joe Biden’s denials that he ever communicated with, or profited from, his son’s business contacts
  • The fact that Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s later claimed it was “a total mistake” to shut down the NY Post’s account for this reason, and major news organizations that initially claimed the Post’s report was false, later admitted that it was accurate

DONE JUNE 26, 2022.

(7) Khamenei on Twitter

  • The unelected ruler of Iran, the world’s largest state sponsor of international terrorism, particularly targeting American citizens and soldiers, with deep, proven ties to Al Qaeda
  • He claims Iran has a order from God to wipe America and Israel off the face of the Earth; has been pursuing nuclear weapons for decades, and is now reportedly on the threshold of producing its first device
  • Twitter has allowed Khamenei to use its platform since 2009, and to amass nearly 900,000 followers, because it doesn’t want to interfere with his, or other world leaders’ “right to post what they feel they need to”
