How I would respond to Peter Thiel’s question, about what I believe to be true

Super-investor Peter Thiel famously asks potential employees:

“What important truth do very few people agree with you on?”

I’ve thought about this deeply, and have to answer this in five sequential parts, all based on a core objective that I share with Peter: to save freedom, America and Western civilization (and as an extension, in my case, to help defend Israel).

My answer is the result of thirty-five years of intensive research, data collection and analysis, and creative exploration in this realm. Learn about my journey here.

(1) The primary reason that Western civilization is dying is not because of anything that any external “they” are doing to us.

Rather, it is because (a) we’ve allowed our cultural “immune system” to be sabotaged, and turned against us, by enemies of freedom both within and outside of Western soil and (b) the very institutions that should recognize this as the war it is, and be providing the most potent defenses against it, are not.

(2) No amount of money donated to large legacy organizations will change anything.

It’s not that these organizations’ leaders are uninformed, lazy or incompetent. Rather, it’s because their operating models and self-imposed constraints do not permit them to view this as an actual war, let alone to fight it as such – and fight to win, in a way that the majority of our culture can see, and viscerally recognize as a victory.

Most acutely, they do not recognize the average 12 year old’s brain as the primary battle theater in this war.  Because if those minds are absolutely dominated by the narratives of those at war with freedom, it will get progressively harder to ever dislodge the lies and hate that will, by then, have taken root. And in six short years, they will be voting. This is not to say that this adolescent’s brain is the only battle theater — but rather, if the work we do is not visible to, and easily comprehensible by her, we are sacrificing her to those who are at war with freedom.

(3) Researching and analyzing vital data is one thing.  Weaponizing and delivering it to the most important target audiences is something entirely different — and the good guys need to get proficient in this skill, fast.

Pound for pound, freedom-oriented intellectuals and lone activists in the US and Israel are better at this than anyone in the world.  Weaponizing this data, however, and delivering it on-target, at just the right time, in just the right way for the audience being targeted, is something entirely different.

If freedom, America and Western civilization are to survive, the best thinkers among us must become highly proficient in this skill set, and viscerally supportive of it – fast.

(4) Elon says his mission is to destroy the woke mind virus.  This is my mission, too – but this alone will not save freedom, America and Western civilization.

To achieve that mission, with maximum haste and efficiency, will require that we craft and present a radiant, easy-to-understand vision of what a free, reason-based, productive, civil, happy society would look like — and why such a society is uniquely capable of fulfilling the basic needs and aspirations of people with rational values.

It will require making this vision so vivid, so compelling, so immersive and persuasive that normal, uncorrupted adolescents can see within it that it represents their highest rational ideals, and standards of human proper conduct.  Our time to do this, before freedom collapses, is short.

(5) To help inoculate the public against future breakouts of the woke mind virus, we must also create radically new means by which to expose, discredit, satirize and utterly humiliate its most influential peddlers, and their primary institutional enablers.

This must not be a solely intellectual or evidence-based exercise; our mission must be to make anyone who in any material way is involved in, or supportive of the  lies, hatred and racism that constitute its DNA, to be socially and economically radioactive, in the minds of reasonable people across the ideological and cultural spectrum.

I and my views have been rejected by the legacy organizations that one might reasonably assume, on paper, would recognize (a) how badly this war is being lost, and (b) that radically different approaches to fighting it are urgently needed.  I have remained undeterred in my assessment of our situation, and predictions for where current trends are leading.

The main purpose of my life is to create Version 1.0 of innovative knowledge tools and activism strategies — which I refer to as “information warfare hyper-weapons” — that will be capable of accomplishing these missions, in the most timely, efficient and decisive manner possible, in both serious and funny ways.

My vision for how to do this is to create a small network of specialized multimedia design and development studios, where the most talented and motivated thinkers, artists, writers and technical professionals can work together, to create late-stage “hyper-weapons” with which to fight, and win, this war.

Here is one example of a “knowledge tool” that I created, in 2011, that contains basic knowledge that should have become mainstream after 9/11 — but instead was, and, remains deemed all but off-limits, to avoid “offending” certain groups. Learn the story behind it, and its rejection by a respected philanthropist, here.

– Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
